Nominator's project description
| Professor Caicedo is an international authority in the area of plant evolution. With her studies she has shown that there is such a thing as de-domestication: unwitting selection by humans for weedy traits in a domesticated plant. In Germany, she will develop a new model system for the study of the evolution of herbicide resistance in agronomically important weeds. |
